Book Club: American Novels

For November, the book club will read The Virgin Suicides by Jeffrey Eugenides, a haunting and lyrical novel that examines the bonds of community and the complexities of family life. Told through the collective voice of neighborhood boys reflecting on their youth, the story centers on the five Lisbon sisters—whose sheltered existence and tragic fate continue to captivate and disturb the community that surrounds them.
