Next Call for Applications 2025

The  provides talented Argentine students with financial assistance to apply to universities in the United States. Funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, this program has helped over 100 institutions admit students since 2006.

Eligibility Requirements
To apply, you must meet ALL the following criteria:

  • Be an Argentine citizen.
  • Be graduating from high school in December 2025.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 8 or higher (on a 10-point scale).
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities.
  • Communicate effectively in English.
  • Lack the financial resources to cover university application costs in the U.S.
  • Have the desire and ability to complete a four-year degree in the United States.

Does Selection Guarantee a Scholarship?
No. The Opportunity Funds does not guarantee admission to U.S. universities or scholarships. However, selected students will receive ongoing guidance from EducationUSA advisors throughout the admission process to increase their chances of securing full scholarships.

What Does the Program Cover?
For selected students, the program provides:

  • Application fees
  • Required standardized exams (TOEFL/IELTS/Duolingo, SAT or ACT, and three SAT Subject Tests)
  • Document translations
  • Visa and SEVIS fees
  • Transportation costs to the university for the start of classes
  • A stipend to cover initial setup and adaptation costs
