Poetry Night: Haunted Verses
Step into the shadows of classic literature and explore the eerie side of poetry in a captivating, atmospheric gathering.
What lingers after the poem ends?
This month, we’ll explore haunting images, unsettling memories and mysterious encounters through the poetry of Robert Frost, Carl Sandburg and Edgar Allan Poe.
From a solitary walk through snowy woods to autumn landscapes and a love that refuses to fade, these poems invite us to explore the eerie, the mysterious and the unforgettable. Read, reflect and exchange ideas as we take a closer look at the language, imagery and emotions behind each poem.
What We'll Be Reading
This session will focus on reading, analyzing and discussing three iconic masterpieces of American literature:
- Lingering in winter’s silence: “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening” by Robert Frost.

Whether you are a longtime poetry lover or looking to discover these classics for the first time, we will guide you through the verses, uncovering hidden meanings and sharing our thoughts as a group.
